For decades, grief has been categorised into five stages, creating expectations around how we should process loss. This project challenges this structured approach, reflecting my personal experience of losing my granddad in 2024 and highlighting that every grieving process is different. Through collage, typography and a visual line system titled In Waves, the publication explores unexpressed love, grief and the complexity of emotions. Drawing on published research, societal perspectives and technological advancements, it aims to provide a touchpoint for those feeling lost or alone, encouraging people to share their stories and learn from one another rather than being told how to grieve.
