wai o rongo
Ko wai koe?
From what waters do you flow from?
Ko Tikapa tōku moana
Ko Waimangō me Waikato ōku awa.
“Water is the sustainer of life, it is the amniotic fluid, it is the place in between, where the dreamers neither take a breath nor come to the surface.” - Bill Viola
Ngā Wai o Rongo speaks directly to a part of the journey the wairua will venture on after leaving our tūpāpaku in te ao mārama. A time of transition, when the spirit begins its haerenga back to Hawaiki, the place of our origin and our return.
