Waiata Ma Te Toi, Songs through Art. Two uplifting inspirations in my life are Songs and my  Māori culture. I am making this art fun and personal. With more knowledge than before, I learned the meanings of the lyrics and the waiata, and I also managed to construct a personal connection with my work. I add important things, like my father, mother, grandparents, friends, and family. I used Māori Poi as an art tool to create artwork. I listened to Haka while throwing liquified paints around the room. I listened to Waiata with meaning and responded to that waiata with my understanding, naming the artwork the name of the Waiata.

My  work is inspired by Māori Waiata
