Wax and Angels

A contemporary interpretation of the impact of religion on western fashion using natural elements such as wax.

Using influences from biblical angles in art I want to use my collection to demonstrate the effect of religion on fashion visually. Using slick textures I want to communicate my interpretation of otherworldly beings. I want my garments to have a sensual feel for the wearer to invoke a sense of power over how they dress and the way they feel in their body. My garments are to have a presence that has them sitting in an artistic field doubling as sculptural pieces as well as wearable clothing.
