Exploring Technology and Social Media's Influence on Modern Dating

Relationships are primal experiences for young people, however, there has been a shift in dating dynamics due to modern technology and social media.

This artefact is a Z-Fold, dual-sided publication exploring the advantages and disadvantages of these technological impacts, examining both rational and emotional aspects. Each side follows a similar structure, focusing on how people meet, communicate, and commit to one another in this modern age, creating an engaging juxtaposition.

The design incorporates collage and typography to create layered imagery and a balanced hierarchy that aligns with the themes being explored while expressing relatable human experiences.

Key methods for this project combine prototyping and literature review, utilising articles, interviews, and conversations with peers about their dating experiences to gain insight into both perspectives while ensuring the physical outcome is of high quality.

The project aims to inform the audience about technology’s influence on romantic relationships and how it has shaped the modern dating scene, offering a view that merges research analysis with a dual perspective.
